Our Story
Why Blue Signal Exists
You've upgraded the tools, improved the processes, and hired good people. So why does everything still feel stuck?
Better AI won't fix it. Better processes won't either. Usually something deeper is stuck: a pattern nobody is willing to name out loud, the decision or bottleneck hiding in plain sight.
Blue Signal was built on a conviction earned across 20 years and three CTO seats, from Fortune 250 enterprises to early-stage startups. The thing that's actually stuck is rarely the technology or the talent. It's the unspoken pattern everything else is built around. We name it, and then we fix it. Together.
Business-first. Always. The AI serves the outcome, not the other way around. No hype. No slide decks. Just results that stick, because the fix ships into production, not into a proposal.

How We Work
Name it. Own it. Ship it.
One repeatable method, proven across Fortune 250 enterprises and early-stage startups. It turns a vague sense that something is wrong into a measurable win you can defend.
01
Name it
We surface the stuck pattern your team has been working around: the decision or bottleneck hiding in plain sight. Then we break the stall.
02
Own it
We install clear ownership: one person who owns the number, one scoreboard, and proof in two weeks or we kill it.
03
Ship it
We build the AI and automation that makes the old way impossible to defend. The shipped feature is the argument, in production, not in a deck.
Meet the Founder
Mike Kuphal
Founder & Chief Technology Officer
“Founders and CxOs call me when capable orgs get stuck.”
Mike is a three-time CTO and two-time Fortune 250 IT executive with two decades of experience turning advanced technology into measurable business impact. He has led globally distributed teams of 15 to 450+ and managed portfolios exceeding $200M.
At American Family Insurance, a $14.6B Fortune 250 insurer, he unified six operating companies into a single shared-services organization and delivered $90M+ in savings, optimization, and strategic partnerships. At Cormac, a federal HealthTech firm, he secured $83M+ in new contracts and modernized delivery across Medicare, Medicaid, and HHS programs. Across 14 years at J.J. Keller, he built and led a 100+ person engineering department behind a $100M SaaS platform, work that generated the bulk of his patent portfolio.
His current focus is hands-on AI delivery. Recent work includes replacing a manual customer follow-up process with AI-powered outreach that reached a 63% response rate in its first month, shipping workflow automation that turns meeting notes into draft reports and prefills intake forms, and building sentiment analysis into day-to-day customer communications. Clients measure the results in their own numbers: 17 to 30% faster delivery, roughly 33% back-office efficiency gains, and multi-million-dollar annual savings.
He brings that same operator's instinct to growth-stage and mid-market teams: business-first AI, shipped in weeks, owned by someone, and built to stick.
